About the recipe
Coconut almond protein bars with a dark chocolate coating. This is one of athletes' favorite chocolate whey recipes. Delicious and satisfying - better than a chocolate bar!

Per 50 g bar (recipe for 11 bars)
Ingredients
- 265 g creamy, natural almond butter (just almonds)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 100 g honey (or coconut syrup)
- ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt (if your almond butter isn't already salted)
- 2 scoops of Protéalpes no-sugar-added protein powder, chocolate or vanilla flavoured
- 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
- 100 grams of dark chocolate pieces 85%, organic and lecithin-free
Steps to follow
Step 1
Heat the almond butter, coconut oil, honey, vanilla and salt in a saucepan over low heat.
Blend until smooth and smooth, then remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl.
Stir in the protein powder until smooth, then stir in the chia seeds and half the shredded coconut.
Step 2
Place in a 20×10 cm loaf tin lined with baking parchment.
Step 3
Place the dark chocolate pieces and coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat until melted.
Spread over the top of the bars, then sprinkle with sea salt, chopped almonds and shredded coconut.
Step 4
Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour before unmolding and cutting into 9 bars. Store bars in the refrigerator, well wrapped or in an airtight container, for up to 2 weeks.
Nutritional advice
If you want to use another nut butter, you can. A creamy, natural cashew or peanut butter will do just fine!
