The best for carbohydrate and energy replenishment
Practitioners of high-intensity strength and/or endurance sports (rugby, soccer, field hockey, handball...) need an energy boost, in the form of rapidly assimilated carbohydrates, at half-time.
This can be the case for other sports, such as racquet sports, or any other intense and long practice (>1h of effort), which includes breaks.
The aim of the energy half-time is to provide the player with an adapted intake of carbohydrates, over a very short period of time, just before returning to the pitch.
The carbohydrate/electrolyte/vitamin C mix has been studied for optimal nutritional and cognitive effects, boosting performance in the second half and reducing the perception of fatigue.
- Optimizing performance in the 2nd half
- Taken at half-time (5 to 8 min before resuming exercise)
- Isotonic, osmolarity measured in the laboratory
What's the difference with other products on the market?
We deal directly with a union of dairy producers (Union des Producteurs de Beaufort), which means we don't go through intermediaries, wholesalers or milk giants. This unique proximity to local primary producers ensures total traceability.
We carefully manufacture our nutrition products in Albertville, in the heart of the Alps. The fact that we use no subcontractors and keep and control all stages of production in-house means that we can control the quality of our nutrition products, and in particular that we are certified to NF EN 17444 (formerly NF V94-001), a European anti-doping sports standard.
This standard certifies the absence of doping contaminants in our products, bearing in mind that on average, 15% of dietary supplements on the market contain doping substances such as anabolic steroids (1).

Terms of use
- Put all the powder in the packet (25g) into a gourd or graduated shaker.
- Pour in fresh water until the 300 ml mark is reached.
- Shake well to dilute powder
Be careful to respect the dilution volumes of 300 ml for 1 portion, to avoid the risk
of obtaining a hypertonic solution.

Frequently asked questions
Why do you use fructose in this product?
Mi-temps Énergie is a very precise product, unique in its composition and specifically designed to meet the nutritional needs of team sports players at half-time. Today's authoritative medical and scientific studies show that a mixture of carbohydrates in the form of glucose + fructose is the most appropriate at a time like this.
It's true that fructose is associated with various metabolic disorders and can potentially pose a public health problem when consumed in excess in the daily diet, in sodas in particular.
That said, when used in a sporting context and in such high doses (around 4g of fructose per dose), the potentially harmful effects of fructose will not be felt.
Why be specific about the 300 ml?
This product has been formulated to provide optimum energy intake for the player, in an isotonic drink (containing the same concentration of particles as blood). This isotonicity has been measured and controlled in the laboratory. It is calibrated for one dose in a total volume of 300 ml of classic still water.
If we reconstitute with less water, the mixture will be hypertonic (poor absorption, risk of intestinal pain...).
If we reconstitute in a larger volume, the mixture will be hypotonic, which is not particularly problematic for the athlete, but implies an additional volume to be absorbed, unnecessary for the player at this point in the half.
What source of vitamin C do you use?
As with the rest of the ingredients used at Protéalpes, we pay particular attention to the quality of our ingredients.
Vitamin C used in the food industry can be 100% synthetic, natural or a combination of both.
For our part, we chose organic acerola powder, naturally rich in vitamin C (with no added vitamin C).
When to take Mi-temps énergie?
As the name suggests, this drink is to be taken during the half-time break. It is suitable for players who have played the first half and will play at least part of the second.
The ideal time to take this 300 ml drink is from the middle of the half-time break (5 to 8 minutes before returning to the pitch).
Be careful not to take it at the start of the half-time break, to avoid the risk of a reactional hypoglycemia phase just before returning to the pitch.
Ideally, the player hydrates with small sips of fresh water during the first half, then absorbs the 300 ml of Mi-temps Énergie, starting halfway through the half.
