The best for carbohydrate and energy replenishment
Practitioners of high-intensity strength and/or endurance sports (rugby, soccer, field hockey, handball...) need an energy boost, in the form of rapidly assimilated carbohydrates, at half-time.
This can be the case for other sports, such as racquet sports, or any other intense and long practice (>1h of effort), which includes breaks.
The aim of the energy half-time is to provide the player with an adapted intake of carbohydrates, over a very short period of time, just before returning to the pitch.
The carbohydrate/electrolyte/vitamin C mix has been studied for optimal nutritional and cognitive effects, boosting performance in the second half and reducing the perception of fatigue.

Terms of use
- Place 25 g (one measuring spoon) of powder in a gourd or graduated shaker.
- Pour in fresh water until the 300 ml mark is reached.
- Shake well to dilute powder
Be careful to respect the dilution volumes of 300 ml for 1 portion, to avoid the risk of obtaining a hypertonic solution.
To be taken during a break.

Frequently asked questions
Why do you use fructose in this product?
We designed Mi-temps Énergie for a specific moment in the game: the halftime break for team sport players, who have their own unique nutritional needs. At that point, current knowledge in sports nutrition suggests combining glucose and fructose, since each of these sugars has its own transporter in the intestine.
We do not deny the criticisms leveled at fructose: when consumed in excessive amounts day after day—particularly through sugary beverages such as soda—it is linked to several metabolic disorders and represents a public health concern. However, consuming approximately 4 g specifically for athletic performance does not fall into this category: at this quantity, such effects are not expected.
Why be specific about the 300 ml?
Because the balance of the drink depends on it. We wanted to provide players with the right amount of energy in an isotonic drink, whose concentration of dissolved particles matches that of blood plasma. Our laboratory analyses measured and validated this isotonicity for a dose mixed with 300 ml of still water.
If diluted in a smaller volume, the mixture would be hypertonic, slower to absorb, and could cause stomachaches. If diluted in a larger volume, it would be hypotonic: safe for the athlete, but requiring the athlete to drink extra fluid, which offers no benefit during a break.
What source of vitamin C do you use?
Acerola, in powder form, sourced from organic farming. This fruit is naturally rich in vitamin C, and we do not add any isolated vitamin C. In the food industry, this vitamin may come from a 100% synthetic source, a natural source, or a combination of both: as with every raw material at Protéalpes, we have prioritized quality.
When to take Mi-temps énergie?
The name gives it away: during halftime. It’s intended for players who come off the field at the end of the first half and will return to the game, at least for part of the second half.
The first few minutes of the break are reserved for fresh water, sipped in small sips. The 300 ml of Mi-temps Énergie comes next, once half the break has passed, between 5 and 8 minutes before play resumes.
We do not recommend drinking it as soon as you enter the locker room: for some players, consuming it too early can cause a temporary drop in blood sugar (known as reactive hypoglycemia) just before returning to the game.
