How to gain weight healthily?

When bulking up, the aim is to increase calorie and protein intake in order to build muscle mass. This intake must be complemented by appropriate weight training exercises.

To support weight gain, you should aim to consume 45 to 55 kcal/kg/day over a period of several months.

Please note that not all calories are equal. We recommend not overdoing it and obtaining these extra calories from high-quality ingredients as part of a varied and balanced diet.
1.8 to 2 g/kg/day of protein
In addition to calorie intake, scientific literature generally recommends protein intake of 1.8 to 2.2 g/kg/day during periods of weight gain.

Although there is no risk at 2.2 g/kg/day, at Protéalpes we recommend an intake of 1.8 to 2 g/kg/day, which will be just as effective.
