Pea protein for post-workout recovery and everyday use
Exercise accelerates muscle catabolism and increases protein requirements. It is therefore essential to adjust your amino acid intake appropriately to support protein synthesis, both during recovery and in daily life—especially when you reduce the proportion of animal protein in your diet.
Pea protein isolates are dietary supplements for sports nutrition that:
- Provide a good amount of BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine)
- Are very easy to digest
- Naturally provide all the essential amino acids, for a complete profile
Objectives :
- Supplement your daily protein intake, especially if you follow a vegetarian, vegan, or flexitarian diet
- Support protein needs for both strength and endurance training
- Protein helps increase and maintain muscle mass
- Provide the amino acids that help repair muscle fibers worked during training
Respect for the environment and for people

- Organic and Ecocert FR certified
- Non-GMO seeds, produced in-house by Puris
- A direct, contractual relationship between Puris, a family-owned company, and North American growers
- Yellow peas conserve resources: as a legume, they fix nitrogen from the air, naturally enrich the soil, and require little water
- With Grain de Sail, the Atlantic is crossed entirely under sail to minimize the carbon footprint of the journey from the United States
How does it differ from other plant-based proteins on the market?
Most plant-based proteins are extracted in Asia—often from raw materials sourced from the United States and/or Asia—and many lose their traceability along the way. At Protéalpes, we’ve chosen to work with Puris, a family-owned American company that manages every stage of its protein production in-house: it develops its own non-GMO seeds, works with contracted North American farmers to grow organic peas, and then extracts the protein in its own facilities. This model, which is relatively uncommon, allows us to trace every batch back to the field.
In Albertville, in the heart of the Alps, we then carefully craft our products. No subcontractors are involved in the formulation, packaging, or shipping processes, all of which are carried out on our premises. Our products are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the European anti-doping standard NF EN 17444, which replaced NF V94-001.
The goal of this voluntary standard is to limit the risk of doping substances in dietary supplements. This is no small matter, given that an international study found undeclared anabolic steroids in nearly 15 percent of 634 dietary supplements purchased in 2000–2001 (1).

Terms of use
- Pour 250–300 ml of liquid (water, plant-based milk, or a mixture) into a shaker, then add 1 serving of organic plant-based protein.
- Mix in a shaker, shaking up and down.
- Finish with light circular movements of the shaker*.
*As we don't use lecithin (a foam-reducing surfactant), a light layer of foam may appear after mixing too vigorously. This is perfectly normal and will disappear within a few minutes.

Definition and Method of Obtaining the Pea Isolate
Pea isolate is a protein ingredient extracted from yellow peas (a legume). It is produced through aqueous extraction and mechanical separation—without the use of any chemical solvents—followed by drying. It has a protein content of 80% or higher. Its composition includes all essential amino acids, with a high content of BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine); sulfur-containing amino acids (methionine, cysteine) are less abundant, but this is compensated for by a varied diet.
Is the Classic Vegan line a weight gainer?
It is not one. By definition, a weight-gain supplement often contains more carbohydrates than protein (reference: 20 to 25 g of protein for about three times as many carbohydrates) in order to provide a caloric surplus. The standard line is limited to a moderate carbohydrate intake, which complements the protein. It is sweetened with real sugar rather than a sweetener such as sucralose, which can be up to 600 times sweeter than sugar; the volume taken up by the sugar accounts for a slightly lower protein concentration per 100 g. After reconstitution, the carbohydrate content is approximately 5%.
Are plant-based proteins organic?
The yellow peas are grown using organic farming methods that are monitored and certified by Ecocert, which excludes genetically modified organisms. They are grown in North America by farmers under direct contract with Puris, a family-owned company. Peas have the unique ability to fix nitrogen and require little water. The other ingredients (sugar, vanilla powder, cocoa, etc.) are organic whenever possible.
Why should you consume pea protein?
It serves as a protein supplement for athletes, as well as for vegetarians, vegans, and flexitarians. Protein helps build and maintain muscle mass. The isolate is naturally lactose-free and is a good source of amino acids. It can be taken after a workout, as a snack, or added to recipes; the total amount of protein consumed over a 24-hour period remains the determining factor.
Are BCAAs included in the recipe?
No protein or amino acids are added. The BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine) come from pea isolate, which is naturally rich in them, and, to a negligible extent, from other ingredients such as cocoa. An ingredient list that includes “BCAA,” “L-leucine,” or “EAA” indicates the addition of isolated amino acids.
What causes the foam or residue that appears after mixing?
Proteins naturally foam when mixed with a liquid; pea isolate foams less than whey and provides greater viscosity. The recipe contains no lecithin, gum, or emulsifiers: this may result in temporary foaming or a slight sediment, which does not affect the quality. Recommended procedure: pour in the liquid, then add the powder, mix vigorously, and shake one last time before consuming. Store the packet away from any heat source.
