Very detailed description
Pea protein: the amino acids your muscles need at every stage
As training sessions progress, muscle catabolism intensifies and protein requirements automatically increase. Having the right balance of amino acids is essential for supporting protein synthesis, both during recovery and as part of your daily diet—especially when animal proteins make up a smaller portion of your diet.
Pea protein isolate, a dietary supplement for athletes, is characterized by:
- High in BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine)
- Highly digestible
- The 9 essential amino acids—a naturally complete profile
Objectives :
- It helps supplement your daily protein intake, especially if you follow a vegetarian, vegan, or flexitarian diet, and meets the needs of both strength and endurance training.
- When it comes to muscles, protein helps increase muscle mass. The amino acids it provides also play a role in repairing the muscle fibers that are strained during exercise.
Respect for the environment and for people

- Ecocert FR certifies its organic origin
- Non-GMO seeds resulting from Puris's in-house breeding program
- Puris, a family-owned company, works directly with North American producers under contract
- The yellow pea is a legume: it fixes atmospheric nitrogen, enriches the soil naturally, and requires little water
- A transatlantic voyage entirely under sail with Grain de Sail, for a lower-carbon shipment from the United States
How does it differ from other plant-based proteins on the market?
The key difference lies in the very beginning. Many plant-based proteins are primarily extracted in Asia from raw materials that are often sourced from the United States and/or Asia, and their traceability is lost along the way. In contrast, we work directly with Puris, a family-owned American company with an integrated process from seed to powder: non-GMO seeds developed in-house, organic peas grown in North America by contract farmers, and extraction carried out in its own facilities. This is a rare model that allows us to trace every batch back to the field.
Our nutrition products are then carefully produced in Albertville, in the heart of the Alps, by our teams: formulation, packaging, and shipping all take place on our premises, without any subcontractors. They are manufactured in accordance with the European anti-doping standard NF EN 17444, which replaced NF V94-001.
This standard is voluntary: it provides a framework for manufacturing to limit the risk of doping substances. The figures support this: an international study found undeclared anabolic steroids in 14.8% of the 634 supplements analyzed (purchases made in 2000–2001) (1).

Terms of use
- Pour 250–300 ml of liquid (water, plant-based milk, or a mixture) into a shaker, then add 1 serving of organic plant-based protein.
- Mix in a shaker, shaking up and down.
- Finish with light circular movements of the shaker*.
*As we don't use lecithin (a foam-reducing surfactant), a light layer of foam may appear after mixing too vigorously. This is perfectly normal and will disappear within a few minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Where does pea protein come from, and what does it contain?
It comes from yellow peas, a legume. For our isolate, the peas are washed and mechanically separated without the use of chemical solvents: the proteins are isolated and concentrated, and their nutritional profile is preserved. The final step is drying, which produces a fine powder.
It consists mainly of globulins (legumin, vicilin) and albumins—chains of amino acids with a naturally complete profile, including all essential amino acids. Peas are rich in arginine, lysine, and BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine), which contribute to muscle protein synthesis. Sulfur-containing amino acids (methionine, cysteine) are present in more moderate amounts, a deficiency that a varied diet can easily compensate for.
Weight gainer: Is the classic line one of them?
No. To see why, let’s look at the composition of a weight gainer: it usually contains more carbohydrates than protein—ideally, 20 to 25 g of protein for about three times as many carbohydrates. The goal is to consume a calorie surplus, in addition to protein, to gain muscle mass. Our classic line contains only the minimum amount of carbohydrates needed to complement the protein and helps slightly replenish glycogen stores.
We make a conscious choice regarding the type of sugar. Compared to artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame—which are up to 600 times sweeter—sugar takes up volume and mass in the mixture. The result: slightly less protein per 100 g of finished product. Once reconstituted, the drink contains about 5% carbohydrates.
Who can consume pea protein?
Do you follow a vegetarian, vegan, or flexitarian diet? Pea protein is a good source of amino acids to help meet your daily protein needs. Do you work out? It’s especially good to consume after a workout: protein helps build and maintain muscle mass.
Do you take leucine, BCAAs, or other amino acids?
No. The recipe contains no added protein or amino acids. Most of the amino acids come from pea isolate, which is rich in BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine) and arginine; the rest—a negligible amount—comes from ingredients such as cocoa. Do you see “BCAA,” “L-leucine,” or “EAA” on a product’s ingredient list? These are isolated amino acids added to the protein—a practice we do not use.
